What do we mean by protective packaging ?

It's the packaging which is needed to enable product to arrive safely at it's final destination and is over and above that which would simply enclose it.
The type of protective packaging for a particular product will be determined by a number of factors, such as :
Weight
Fragility
Value
Method of transport
Handling
Cost
We recommend different materials based on an assessment of these factors. Polystyrene is a good general purpose material supplied as blocks, sheets, pads,boxes, end caps,fabrications, cnc cut shapes or mouldings and will often meet the needs of your product.
For more demanding specifications we use polyethylene or polyurethane foam such as Ethafoam, Polylam, Stratocell or Jiffycell which will produce enhanced repeat protection from damage. These fitments are usually pressed or cut from sheets but can sometimes be moulded.
An essential element of design is the outer - a corrugated carton, box or sleeve which we can also make. Because we design inner and outer together you can be sure that they have been optimised for price and performance. We can also supply the outer printed and in colour.
We often use a standard design, with dimensions tailored to your product, or we can design something to cater for your particular needs. We can also advise on insulated protective packaging.
